Hello!
In the first book of The Hunchback of Notre Dame - chapter VI, Hugo mentions for the first time the presence of Esmeralda in a public square :
(extract)
“Comrades!” suddenly cried one of the young rascals at the window, “Esmeralda—Esmeralda down in the Place!”
I'm a little confused...Wich is this square? It's the square of Palais de Justice or the square in front of Notre-Dame (the Parvis)?
Thank you very much!
