Happiness
Where your happiness once lay,
And your heart’s desire stood,
Where everything you wanted,
And all that you needed was one.
Your love was given,
Your soul with it too.
When you see what you’ve done,
Given everything again.
You’ve taken down your defenses,
And let the emotions back in.
While you sit and you wallow, your heart’s pieces in your hands,
You vow never to let it happen again.
But you realize then, what made you feel so,
That to feel such a loss, you must have lost something great.
You lift up your head and suppress the flowing tears,
Your heart still hurt, but realization drawn near.
You desire once more to feel that love again,
It’s soothing comfort taking away the searing pain.
You pick up the pieces and start upon the great road,
It’s mocking laughter falling on your deaf ears.
As you wonder and dream of the life you once had,
When your happiness was complete and that smile was on your face.
Your mind begins to twist as you cannot find it again,
You realize the love of your life lost, and desperation draws you near.
With no way out, you slip into hell,
Embracing its evil, the trigger you pull.
Your life taken with a moment of pain,
The searing of your heart flares once again, and then dulls with its final beat.
Thanks for reading. I'm new here as you probably noticed. Is it any good?
CnC please =], thank you
