Recently I found myself developing an interest in Fairy Tales, outside of the typical Grimms'.
I received a book of Hans Christian Andersen, and it is probably one of my favorites since I began reading them. I love the darker story, the truer in my eye's.

Hermann Hesse has always been a treat, along with
Oscar Wilde

though other than these, I have no other means of Fairy Tales.

I was just hoping that maybe 'You' can share some of your favorite Tales
or books.

Those with age on them will taste better,
but the starving man can't find himself
being picky.

Thank You.

If you like dark fairy tales, you might like Tanith Lee's new interpretations in 'Red as Blood', which are adaptations from Grimm's stories.

For a modern re-make of fairy tales feminist style try Angela Carter's Bloody chamber.

They're not fairy tales in a strict sense, but I've always loved Washington Irving's Alhambra tales.
