Any fans here of the OUTLANDER series by Diana Gabaldon?

I'm on the third book right now, VOYAGER. It's amazing!! I even got a chance to send fan mail to Diana, and she responded. She's not only talented, but seems very nice and modest.

I want to read the books, I have almost all of them but the newest ones. But I haven't yet been able to start the series. I do hear a lot of good things about it.

I loved that whole series except the fifth book. Obviously wrapping up the stories is never easy in a 5-book series, same thing happens with the Earth's Children series. But I don't want to spoil the books for you ... So once you get past the irrational idea of traveling back in time 200 years, it's fascinating. I especially like her attention to the details of 18th century medicine. What are your thoughts so far?
