Hello there!:D A friend asked me to help him with his homework. It's on A Clean, Well-Lighted Place by Ernest Hemingway. He emailed it to me, but there were some typos. The conversation between the two waiters wasn't very clear; there were times where I'm not sure which of the two was talking. Also, I couldn't picture out clearly the setting.

Now, I'd like to ask your views on the short story. An exhaustive discussion is very much appreciated.:D

P.S. What was the purpose of the soldier and the girl in the story? Could it be an allegory of Hemingway's experiences in the war or something?

Gee, I have read it several times Princess, but I can't remember it. If ths cn wait until tomorrow I can read the story (it's pretty short) today or tonight and stop back here tomorrow. Is that ok?
