Hello everyone and thanks for trying to help me. I am 15 years old and an avid reader. However, I am running out of books to read.

I like books with mystery, romance, adventure and "creepy stuff"(vampires and ghosts)

Books and series that I have enjoyed:
~The Vampire Academy Novels by Richelle Mead
~Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer
~The Secret Circle Trilogy by L.J. Smith
~The Dark Visios Trilogy by L.J. Smith
~The Intruders by E.E. Richardson
~The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot
~1-800-WHERERU Series by Meg Cabot
~The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson
~Angel of Death by Alane Ferguson
~The Key to the Golden Firebird by ???
~13 Little Blue Envelops by maureen johnson
~Devilish by maureen johnson

I'll add more when I think of them!!

~*~New Update~*~

Hey guys I just wanted to say thanks for all the recommendations!

I have actually just discovered a new type of book that I like... the teen girl book (ie. the author Sarah Dessen, romantic plot, family issues).

First thing that came to my mind was the Twilight series but i see that you have that listed already. we do not commonly share the same genre but i recommend angels and demons by dan brown that was a great book and it may interest you.

edit--read some stephen king

Read the Bartimaeus Trilogy

I never continued the series after the Amulet of Samarkand but that is an amazing series you would definitely like it.

I'm with the Anne Rice suggestion. Not just her Vampire books, but Feast of All Saints is great.

How about the Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix?

Anne's novels about the Mayfair Witches are also pretty good.

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. No, no. Don't think about it, just read it.

I also liked only the first couple, I must admit, Jo. :)

I sent June a message. You might enjoy it.

Good to see more humans.

Bram Stokers Dracula maybe?

You listed several titles above, but you really missed the biggest Vampire of all time, Bram Stoker's dark romance, Dracula. It is a must-read.

Forgot about the mayfair witches limajean. Was sitting in my chair last night thinking "i'm missing something and its not Violin....."

The first couple of these books were great. A must read for vampire fans.

Yeah, then she wrote Tale of the body thief and the books didnt really redeem themselves till a couple of books later when she wrote Vampire Armand. One of my favourites! I stopped after Vittorio the Vampire. I liked that one.

or try the original vampire story by john polidori... the vampyre..

maybe you might enjoy some classic gothic romances?? like the castle of otranto or the mysteries of udolpho

as already mentioned, you cant go wrong with bram stoker's dracula.. and i would also add frankenstein to that list

I don't know any vampire stories- except, of course, Dracula; very worthwhile read, but I'm afraid that I can't remember much of it since it was four or five years since I read it last lol- but have you considered reading books outside the genre which you like best? For instance, if you enjoy reading about the supernatural, you could read Frankenstein, or if you like 'scary' stories, read some Poe.

For romance, you can't go much more romantic than Wuthering Heights (: or any Bronte book, really.

Thanks Allannah! I'm not a total vampire fan(I just like them alot), I do actually like other books. I like murder mysteries and ghosts and other things. I am very open to reading other books, so don't feel the need to stick to vampire stories!

Thanks Everyone, I really apreciate all that you are doing to help me.

You might like Thomas Harris' Hannibal books if you like thrillers. :)Start with 'Red Dragon', and go on from there.

But you don't need to read Hannibal Rising, unless you must. It just isn't up to the quality of the other books.

I like murder mysteries..

Check out Sherlock Holmes. You can get the complete adventures in a leather-bound book for $20 at B&N. It's a fantastic read.

AGREEEEEED!!!

Hannibal has some really interesting psych aspects to it, but Silence is the best of them. Hannibal Rising was really disappointing though.
