Hi, I need some help with the book, The War by timothy findley. I have to write an essay about the narratives structure of this book, like points of view, flashbacks flashforwards, use of photographs and how it differs from more common books. I noticed that there are several changes in point of view from 2nd person to 3rd and so on.. but i really cant find any of the other elements. So if some of you guys read the book can you please help me identify these elements?

I don't you would find it - Findley isn't too commonly read. There are, however in depth essays on him, available. As well, there is a contextual frame which is to be noticed, notably the fact that he is reacting to the Hugh Maclennan type writers. This is not so open and shut, and unfortunately, I do not own a copy, so I can't be of much help, other than to point you towards other sources.
