You asked for words, I grasped for meanings
Faltered- submerged- morassed in gleanings
Caressed not held, at best. Compelled-
To struggle against surrender
To the abyss of the pretender
Who promises peace after submission.
Simply cease without contrition.

A song of laughter warms my heart,
The coldness after, not her, apart..
This world, myself, aliens. Other
No words else salient save Mother
Healing wounds old but ever bleeding
Whispering to the soul, feeding, leading
Firming my path to the place of Grace

I like its rhythm... and the 's' repetition, it kind of felt as if a snake was talking

Interesting observation. It was not an intentional effect, but thats poetry for you, right. Thanks so much for your feedback
