Remigio Crespo Toral (1860-1939) was a poetman born in Ecuador, and he was a relative of mine. I have translated a poem by him.

Sunset
by Remigio Crespo Toral

When the sun behind the mount is out,
And the twilight says silence,
And the mist shrouds the valley,
With the affliction of the sun;
In the brief agony of the afternoon,
When the wind whimps,
High up, flickering bright stars turn on,
Like lighthouses.
Under the light of those stars,
I imagine other sunny lands of peace and mistery,
Veiled, for the soft hunting of the fantasy.
And traveling to the dreamed country
A star -my far star-
Seems to illuminate
The desired riverside of heaven.
