Tongues of sharp-winged sadness take me.
Unkempt, unsandalled and unclean,
I wander whirlpools in the waiting dark,
following false beacons
that bold and bitter moonlight
burn before me.

I like the flow of it. I'm not sure if there's a meaning or not in there becuase I didn't understand it. But it sounded real cool. :) Yay!!

Thank you for your comments. There is meaning in there, but you are free to understand it in whatever way you like. :)

Hello
I liked your poem from first line to last line and I can see where one is free to discover their own meaning. Nice choice of words, by the way. They really roll of your tongue when read.
Thanks for sharing and good luck with writing

Oh I appreciated your use of words here. I have a vivid sense of fear, loss, frantic search amidst the terror lights that confuse more than guide. With no hope of being 'found'

Thank you

Thanks Dusk Muse and Delta40. Happy you enjoyed the poem, short though it is.

You've really grasped what I feel in the words, Delta. Thanks for being so perceptive.
