Perhaps your name has something to do with it.

either
~ the book is boring
~ you don't want to go through, maybe you loose interest

If every book is boring, you should question yourself harder on this ...

&
I'm not a "professional reader" myself. But how does this annoy you?

Maybe it is the books you are trying to read. Let us know what you are reading maybe we can offer some other selections?

Impatience.
That's it. I feel the same way sometimes. If something isn't thrusting me straight into the action, I just put the book down expecting the same dull pattern throughout the rest of the novel.

Go read Flight by Sherman Alexie or Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. Dexter was actually turned into a Showtime series that's pretty good. Even better to know is that the actual Dexter books easily outshine them. Those are two pretty simple books with an engaging storyline.

I agree with aBigsheep here I loved Darkly Dreaming Dexter and it is way better than the show. Give them a try if memory serves me correctly there are three books??

I don't care how many books there are, read all of them.
