Hi, I'm wondering If I could get any suggestions of books that
deal with Adult-Teenager Relationships;
The adult not necessarily being a pedophile, predator.
The subject matter would be dealing with the complexities of relationships like this, and how age difference and social boundries get in the way. These two people, possibly seeing something in each other that isn't just sexual attraction, but something much more complex and deep. It's sort of hard to explain... but anything along the lines of this would be great. thanks. The only book that has been suggested to me has been Lolita, and I plan on reading it, though it doesn't quite seem to be what I'm looking for.

The captain's doll and The ladybird, by D.H Lawrence. Both explore interesting human connections, especially the second novella.
I loved them both because it explored something very secretive and deep between very different individuals.
Start with The ladybird.

Though they probably won't fulfill what you're looking for as the age thing is not a factor. Nevertheless, Lawrence explores a certain depth to relationships i've never before seen or read.

Had that question been about a movie, I would tell you to watch Leon, the professional. However, that is quite irrelevant...
mhm.

Lots of books by the New Zealander Margaret Mahy deal with this kind of relationship.
