This sounds a little inapposite to discuss this here, but mainstream literature can not be taken out or assessed without being aware of the situation environing it in point of fact. We all are rooted to the earth strappingly, and all are notwithstanding the fact that live dispersedly around the world, but intrinsically or fundamentally we are not separate beings, and something within and without are interconnected, unified. Cursorily we see variations, differences ideologically, essentially we are one whole lot. Whether sinners or saints, the sacred or the profane of the same system and we can not be fugitives, and we are essentially one lot and thru earth we are unified despite the fact that we look different if we observe us thru the lens of optical illusion.
Therefore looking at us from a prismatic lens we see multicolored pictures, but there is no color but the prism.
What I say may sound not germane or irrelevant but it bears ample relevance. And by the same token when we observe the recent phenomenon, the socioeconomic phenomenon it seems it has no pertinence or appositeness at all, but under the sun everything is relative or referable in point of fact.
We men of literature are so much obsessed with literature and style, choice of words, structures of sentences, themes and the like and remain inaudibly and of course indifferently no matter what is going around the world economically and commercially. When we witness around us or next door cases of suicides, or other going thru very pathetic stages thanks to the recent financial meltdown. Why we do not take this issue seriously and address it vociferously. We are complacent people and live satiated within our comfort zones.
I thru this post want to address all why the financial meltdown topic can not get an air of circles of literature? Is literature totally immune to or apart from this socioeconomic phenomenon?
