Sounds enigmatic, doesn’t it? Today we are technologically savvied human beings, robotic in part when it comes to our excessive use of mechanical devices. We cannot say we are as self-directed and sovereign as those during the periods of Milton and Wordsworth were. Today no matter wherein we dwell geographically there has been an unprecedented assimilation and integration in our life styles and culturally and economically we are getting closer and closer. Today geographies are tumbled upon, economic barricades are skipped and cultural barriers are traversed. Migration, exodus, immigration, relocation and the like have been hackneyed dictions. I have for instance neighbours from where I see numbers of people leaving the city.
The point I have is today physically, as we have so many cases in point, culturally, economically, technically, geographically tied up by the thread of globalization and we cannot escape from this spate of globalization. Today’s economic demands necessitate integration. I was for instance a writer in Nepali, and I have a better command over Nepali and could express better thru Nepali some of the complex ideas I come across in day to day affairs. Yet I choose to write in English not just because I love it more or I feel more at home with English or I know it better. I write in English not thru a passion but thru a compulsion to go across myriads in the world. Nepali i spoken in minorities whereas English is growing day by day. I have no sentiments or vehement for any language and no language is the end but the means or just the tool and nothing else.
My intention is here totally different than all that got said now, and the real issue here is creativity. I wonder what kind of creativity we will have after a hundred years henceforth. Today we are webbed and take the web as the most effective medium to express our ideas thru. I want to know how people geared towards globalization will leverage creativity in decades or centuries from. this time forth
