Globalization of art is a topic I want to share afresh with writers and artists alike and with all who are really interested to share their points of view on this issue.
Now we know the world is shrinking at an alarming rate thru commercial and industrial assimilations and integrations on a global scale and people notwithstanding stumbling blocks of cultures, geographies and economies and barricades of understandings and languages are coming closer.
The few cartels lobbying narrow-mindedly are disappearing today and gradually we are going to have a universal language. I do not thing having a universally common language is a bad thing and the idea that nationalism is something we must keep abreast of is crumbling.
I look forward to complete globalization of art.

As a staunch adherer to Picasso's maxim, I am in complete accordance; the globalization of truth and beauty, the beauty of truth and true beauty is indeed something to celebrate. As one mired at a crossroads of cultures and the ideals that define and outlast them, however, I am grievously perplexed by the idea. What strikes me about this issue is the vital part of art and expression that involves individuality and identity. The global society seems to beg two very opposing things of its members: the ability to swim upstream and the capacity to go with the flow. We are praised and shunned for uniquely defending our outlandish views just as we are praised and shunned for heeding convention. More broadly, we are encouraged to celebrate our differences (in ethnicity, religion, sexuality, vehicular preference, etc, etc) while simultaneously functioning under the notion that "we are one", that we are all the same. This paradox is deathly disconcerting to the young truthseeker who is curiously cerebral in his admiration and creation of art -- If there exists a perfect balance between the conflicting states of being, I have yet to find it.

surely the power of art comes from the diversity in how art is interpreted, when art ceases to bring new languages of representation, thats when it is no longer art and is something entirely different.

you reminded me of Cap'n Jack Sparrow when you mentioned "Now we know the world is shrinking at an alarming rate", "the worlds the same, there just less in it" m'hearties...

I don't agree with u .we must not loose ourselves and especially in art.

Yes this is what I can accept it and we should look for.
