Help

1) I just started a story that I hope to turn into a novel and like every time I start writing I get to a certain point and I get stuck. I need strategies to get rid of my mild writers block please.

2) I over use the word 'I' when I'm writing. I say it way to much. I need an alternative.

Any help would be much appreciated.
