How do I find my voice?

By voice, I mean how do I figure out how I am meant to write?

I have tried many different ways, but nothing seems to work. I'm prone to intense detail and first person narratives, but that is as far as I get. I'm just not positive as to how I find my way of structure.

Help?

If you want a strong voice you're looking for coherent thoughts. Broken bits and bare-bone detail -- the minimal amount of crap your brain bothers to process.

Too much detail to the scenery can rape the flow of a story and that's what voice mostly is. Flow.

I have no idea. A lot of times, I don't even see a difference between two writers voices. Isn't that sad?
