So, I was listing my books on an on-line catalogue, and I happened to look at a picture gallery of my authors. I was tickled to notice that Colleen McCollough was next to Lady Mary Wortley Montague, and I thought that the two of them would probably get on very well at a party (well... if etc etc)
A little later, I noticed that John Milton had either joined or come between them, probably joined, as he could chat Classics with Colleen and diplomacy with Mary, and clearly he'd gone to join in the liveliest conversation in the room.
Anyway, here's the game - which living author do you think would get on well at a party with which dead one?
