Hello everyone,

My name is Sam. I'm an 18 year old college student originally from eastern Pennsylvania. I'm always terrible at these things because I'm not sure anyone actually wants to know about me.

As far as books go, I love historical fiction, fantasy, horror. I'm very much into short stories for a reason that I'm hoping isn't just pure laziness.

Some other interests include animals. I used to have a ton of pets when I was younger and before I started college but right now I only have a Golden Apple Snail named Cthulhu. I'm specifically crazy about marsupials and plan on studying abroad for a semester or a year in Australia. Wombats are love.

This may come as a shock, but I'm an english major. However, unless something goes terribly wrong financially (in this case it would mean me suddenly coming into enough money to stop qualifying for the absurd amount of financial aid I require) I'll be transferring to either Swarthmore or Brown next fall semester specifically for their gender and sexuality studies. I sort of have an invested interest because I'm a) a female-to-male transsexual and b) hopelessly gay. So, those are sort of interesting things about me that make me stand out a bit.

Guilty pleasures include poorly written young adult fantasy novels, cheesecake and Pokemon.

Hi!

PS: This is me.

Sometimes all ya want is sip, right? I love short stories too.

I'm with you on one of those because middle aged fat guys with a slight hedonistic bent love cheesecake. I do like poorly written pulp novels from the 40's and 50's though, so maybe yours are just the current substitutions for those :)

Anyway, nice intro, I like to read about people and you've done a fine job :)

Welcome!
