The rain is pouring down again, tipping buckets, and there is you, pressed against my window, shouting at me to let you in.
Why should I? So you can take me away? Well, I don't want to go away; not with you anyway.

Believe it or not, I like it here. Yes, rain continues to drip through gaps in the window pane, and the heater is temperamental, and a bedroom view out onto a desolate field is not the most cheery thing to gaze at in the mornings but I can deal with them. In a way, I've become fond of them.

Stop knocking! You'll only smash the windows and I fully intend to charge you five times the price. The funny thing is I know you would pay that.

The city? Don't talk to me about the city! You know I couldn't survive it there, my asthma, and my inability to locate train stations. The pollution, the wealthy businessmen swishing through a backdrop, grey streets and homeless people playing tuneless versions of dated songs. And the violence and the mugging...
