Hi all!
I have done some searches around this forum and the Brave New World forum and I have yet to encounter this topic :). I am currently trying to compare these two as a presentation (since my English project requires us to do a presentation and an essay on the novels we picked, in my case the novels were 1984 and Brave New World) and a possible topic my teacher suggested to me is the topic of sex. In these two novels, the way the government perceives sex are completely different but their ultimate goal is very clear, and that is for people to be loyal to their governments first and not have an intimate relationship with anyone. In 1984, sex is virtually banished, and is only seen as a necessity, as Winston's wife referred to it as "a duty to the party", while in Brave New World, sex is actually encouraged but relationships are not permitted. What do you guys think? Because this is pretty much all I can think of at the moment.
Thanks,
SlAyR
