Hil all,

I'm new here and desperately in need of some help! I have an exam on the above book in a week and I am really struggling. Can anyone shed some light? Please let it be known that I am not looking for you to do my work for me. If people could just give me some pointers I will happily work away but I am only asking as I am really stressed, and this is my final year so I need to do well!

Am I correct in saying it is a work of postmodern literature? As a result can I say it features the following elements; pastiche (of crime fiction I assumed, as that is the class I am taking!), meta-narrative (of WW2), histiographic metafiction (of the lives of Jews following WW2) and fragmented and non-linear narratives?

Also, what are the general themes of the book? I know identity is obviously a theme but I'm not sure how to elaborate on it.
