It doesn't make much difference. They are all rather similar.

Are you refering to Conan Doyle the writer of Sherlock Holmes or the barbarian fellow. ;)

I'm a fan. i've seen both movies, the barbarian and the destroyer. i wasn't aware there were books, are they better than the movies?

I'm refering to the Barabarian and I have no idea if the books are better. This is why I'm asking. I'm wanting to look into it.

Some of the books are better than the movies. The ones written by Howard are fairly good. The ones that have Howard & de Camp as authors are good to very good. Ones that have Lin Carter listed among the authors aren't very good.
If you want to read good books of that sub-genre, then try the Fafhrd and Mouser stories by Fritz Leiber and the Unbeheaded King novels by L. Spragure de Camp.

Try looking in used book stores.
