THIS IS MY FIRST POST AND IT IS JUST ONE OF A FEW THAT I HAVE, MY NAME'S CHRIS AND I HOPE THOSE WHO READ IT LIKE IT.
Americana is long gone from here, nothing but eradicated memories, disappearing in the seventies.
Basketball, and baseball, football and Lucille Ball, icons that are all now gone from us all.
From the extinct apple pie, chocolate chips, and cracker jacks, to teenagers shooting up smack in the streets of our great cities, druggies chasing dragons, turning whitey, on Ket Avenue or smoking marijuana which is smuggled from Tijuana to Vancouver and Havana, bolstered by the hippies of the Nixon era.
Watergate and Lewinsky, Mission accomplished, and Troopergate, scandals that created nothing but hate for our leaders, a great man who had an affair, a not so great one who’s last name meant pubic hair.
Gone are the stars Bugs and Mickey, now are the days ruled by the Dora, Spongebob and Stewie, our equivalents for Captain America and Superman, cartoons that represented the best our land.
The land of the free and equality for all, except for fags, chinks, spics, and the pejorative eight balls.
No more Crosby, Sinatra, Presley, or Beach Boys, we got Madonna and Britney, who do nothing but annoy us, not to mention Paris, and Lindsay, and Nicole Richie, whom I can’t describe anything other than *****y, untalented, sophomoric, idiotic, bottom feeding celebrities, relying on nothing but their temporary beauty.
Housewives and women bowing down to men? Ha, not with Hillary and Oprah leading all of them.
Speaking of powerful females, what about the unveiled prevailing first lady, and her trendy, steady, ready husband our future president, who set a precedent, the man who kept saying yes we can, yes we can,
yet I keep hearing a chant and rant, implanted in my head, saying no we can’t, no we can’t.
Then again I’m a pessimistic, narcissistic, sarcastic, skeptic, cynic, agnostic, prick always looking to the bad.
The loss of Americana is not all bad, sad, or something to be mad for, baby boomers are now a dying breed, now generation X is teaching their creed, to future generations, in hope they will have their own revelation to take and carry this nation in another direction, away from stagnate hate, we cannot wait to be late. At this rate change won’t come to us unless we fight for it, live for it, and die for it.
Change comes only when we and he and she come to see the horrors and boundaries that our ancestry, decreed to us, until we are free.
From Lennon’s Imagine preaching compassion, to Dr. Kings dream becoming a theme, an anthem that cries of despise for the demise of the lies that have tainted our countries eyes.
We’ll be free, from oppression, revulsion, and detestation, from loathing, repulsing, abhorring and abomination.
American culture is not erased it has just taken upon a different face. From wagons to cars, reaching for the sky to the stars, from zeppelins to planes to riding on trains.
Our culture has grown from where it was sown, right now we are living our own lives awaiting, praying, hoping and salivating for what the future will bring.
