I would like to learn how to read french. I took three years of french in high school, but that was a joke. Can anybody suggest a program that could help me. I've heard Rosseta Stone was good. Has anybody used it?

Rosetta stone is half decent.

It's rubbish, especially for French. Take a course, Rossetta stone costs just as much, and offers very little in the long run. It is OK for learning some basic diction, but for a romance language, one that is inflection, nothing compares like a course. Of course, the best course is probably a university level one, if you feel up for it, but there are slower pace courses which are also of interest.

Really, when it comes down to it, software just doesn't cut it. You need to speak to people in order to learn, not speak into a computer.

I have taken various courses to learn french language. I have gathered great resources to learn french language. They have described very easy process so people can easily learn french language within short time. You can visit this French (http://www.eadelaide.com/index.php/new-zealand-learn/6-kiwi/84-french-language-learning-nz.html) page and hope that you will get great services what you need.

How about a trip to France. A weekend here and a weekend there is exactly what you need for a good head on of the French prequistness of food culture and language. A full immersion of the senses is what I call it.
In the meantime try and get an language exchange where one learns one language and you the other. There are no cost involved. And you make friends on top of it. Try it ;)
