a fascinating desire
to leap into harm's arms
and bask in its temporal luxury,
that gluts and ironically smothers what pleasure
i mindlessly presumed could linger;
blindly crossing gratifying coals
toward benevolent betrayal.
innocent, is that alluring article,
as my depressing delusion
cautions of evil disrobed;
unveils corruption's succulent costume.
a disparity of indulgent depravity
ripens to psychotic castigation;
a lurid lesson comfortably obliterated
when blinded by bliss again.

if you have a method, nuance, or preference included or absent from this, please comment, i'm new! :nod:

at first i found it overladen with adjectives but subsequently i see that removing any one of them will undermine the structure. what seems overindulgence is actually a tightly controlled, packed parcel of words that unwind rather eloquently. i wouldn't change a thing.

it didn't occur to me that someone might only see a morass of adjectives to wade through. thank you for reading critically. after i wrote this, i determined to create more images, rather than rely on descriptions, to convey thoughts. :)
