I'd like to discuss the writings of Amos Oz. So far I've read his novels "Elsewhere, Perhaps" (a gem), "A Perfect Peace" and "Don't Call It Night" (both great). I love his down-to-earth and yet lyrical descriptions of the desert and life in the kibbutzim. The settings of his novels are slightly surreal, and yet entirely believable.

This year, I was really hoping Oz would win the Nobel Prize --- well, he didn't. Again. :flare:

I have also bought "Fima", "Touch the Water, Touch the Wind" and "A Tale of Love and Darkness", as well as a collection of essays on literature, but I haven't read them yet.
