I'm writing a new book, which I'm also publishing piece by piece in a blog, online. Here's an excerpt, and you can find a link in my profile if you want to read more.
I climbed into bed with all of my protection in place. And having done so, I turned on my right side, as I knew Michael would be right with me, holding me, protecting me. And I thought of him, and I felt it...our love...and I wanted to kiss him...to hold him, pressed against me. I thought of him, of his heart, and tried to feel him, to feel what he was thinking...and he was there, holding me. I pulled the covers up over us both, and I looked at the light cast from the stained glass lamp on my side table. And I smiled, he holding me, and said, “A Poem.” One of the other spiritual beings had a reaction a bit like rolled eyes and “Oh, brother.” But I continued. And I started the poem.
“There is a light from the lamp…” I, Rebecca Tacosa Gray, smiled.
Michael smiled back and continued the poem.
“That shines in your eye.”
The “eye” referred to Gods having one eye, not two. And Michael was a God as well as an Archangel. I laughed.
“I’m a unique human being, remember? Eyes. I have two. That shines in your eyes…”I continued…”And your hand...
“on my thigh”
And that answer was a bit of a surprise, but I smiled and put my hand on his thigh, and caressed him. I loved him so much. And I finished the poem, smiling.
“Is a kiss that glows
Like the light in our eyes.”
And the light in our eyes was love, growing brighter. And I told him,
“We should do this every night. We should make it a tradition.”
And he thought it was a wonderful idea. And I told him, these poems, these poems only, our nightly poems, would hold both our names. Rebecca Tacosa Gray and Michael. And I believe he understood. I was extremely protective of everything I did, but our nightly poems would belong to us. Since most everything the Lower Pantheons tried to steal, that was saying something. And I was wondering if there would ever be a day without theft by the Pantheonic Exchange. Where we could love, Archangel to Unique Human Being, without the Europeans trying to steal.
