I was just wondering about the Famous writers in a family. Nothing comes to my mind, except for – Bronte sisters.

Does any one know, father/son, siblings - famous writers. I know a mom/daughter pair writing Vampire stories. I am really not looking for that kind of examples.

Brownings through marriage. Henry Alice, and William James, The Wordsworths, The Tennysons, though Alfred was the only particularly good one.

Benjamin Farjeon
daughter Eleanor Farjeon & sons Joseph Jefferson Farjeon & Herbert Farjeon

Between them, a vast output of novels, short stories, plays & poetry. Maybe, however, the family are more noted for at least six generations, covering more than 2 centuries, of prominence in all aspects of the theatre.

Interesting i didn't know Le Guin came from such an esteemed family. She was also in the same year at her highschool as Philip K. Dick.

The Shelley family - not just Mary and Percy, but Mary's parents William Godwin and Mary Wollstonecraft were writers.

Several other "literary families" come to mind. Spouses Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath were both poets. Virginia Woolf's father, Sir Leslie Stephen, was a philosopher whose first marriage had been to W. M. Thackeray's daughter.
