Sage Advice
What do you do when you screw up?
Do you hang your head in shame?
Do you feel like you are going to throw up?
Do you look for someone else you can blame?
Do your nerves really get the best of you?
Does your heart race and blood pressure rise?
Does your anger flame like a burning lava pool?
Do the tears start to flow from clinched shut eyes?
Or do you start again from the falling place,
Figuring that everyone has been here before—
That you are just a speck in flotsam of the human race
And that we all must pass through failure’s dark door?
No shame lies in someone falling down:
But you don’t have to stay on the cold, cold ground…
