I posted my short story "Necklace of Youths"
http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3882
at a certain literary forum where writers post to receive comments and criticism.
One moderator of that forum said only one thing about the story, namely that they do not understand the following sentence:
"My press card as eccentric buys much freedom of speech."
I cant see what is so mystifying about that sentence. A learned acquaintance of mine read the story and thought it was a "great line."
(I mean, clever, witty.)
What do any of you think about this sentence in the story? I am curious now to get various reactions.
