Moon-June


I wrote something once
that I considered a poem.
I remember mentioning
Moon and the month of June.

I believe love came into it, somewhere.
Sparkling eyes and a bright smile,
rounded out the first stanza.

I tried to include a little melancholia, after a few lines about fluffy clouds,
but it didn't seem to work,
so I decided to give up on that.
Actually, that, was about as far as I got.

Other than a slight wince whenever I see the words Moon and June too close together, it hasn't left much of a scar...really!
