Gormadoc, le petit
fuit les loups.
Il trouve un escalier
qui se cache dans les nuages,

Gormadoc monte, et monte,
et les bêtes ne courent plus
derrière lui.

l'entrée d'une grotte.

À la fin, il trouve une porte fermée.
Il l'ouvre et, etoné,
Gormadoc voit les premières marches de l'escalier

Terrifié, il court!

It goes a bit like this:

Gormadoc the little one runs from wolves. He finds a stair which winds all the way up into dark clouds, and he doesn't hesitate taking that way. Gormadoc goes up and up, and the beasts don't run after him anylonger. And he goes on going up until he reaches the entrance of a cave. He goes into it, and goes on up the way, right now, through the stone passage ways. At the end of that way, Gormadoc finds a closed door. He opens it, and astonished, Gormadoc finds the first steps of the stairs, and the wolves right at its side ... Terrified, he runs away! The little Gormadoc runs away, up till there he comes about an ... other winding stair.

I wish I had a sufficient command of French to comment on the original but the translation reads like a most interesting and imaginitive tale. Is it meant to be a parable?

I wrote first, now someone's analysing ... :D

It was "meant" to be a short tale, with a indirect meaning so ... Now I can say that, whatever it was meant to be, a parable is as what it came out!
