How do i set up a blog

With the new blog system, you automaticly have a blog set up under you username. In order to make it "live", i.e. appear to other users, all you have to do is;
go to the main blog page
On your left of the screen you will see an area called "options"
Select "post to your blog"
type in your entry and press the post button. This will activate your blog. :)

How do i edit my Blog entry

Go into the entry to want to edit.
Scroll down to the end of you entry and on your right you will see some small icons.
Click on the pencil. This is your edit button.
It will open up the post for editing.

How do I set up Catagories

You can break your blog up into catagories to make it easier to locate entries. to set up a catagory, go to blog catagory option in the blog Control Panel.
Select "Add new blog Catagory".
give it a Title and a discription of what the catagory is for.
Select whether or no you want it apart of a parent catagory that has been set up or no parent catagory.
Select display order (Ie 1 for the top, 2 for second etc)
Press save changes.

I've noticed a "ratings" system for blog entries. For kicks, I rated one of my own entries, but I couldn't find any way to see/view or access a display of the ratings. Am I missing something? If so, can you help me find it?

I am a new member, and I still have no option to 'post to my blog' - how can I start a blog? I want to post some poems.

I've noticed a "ratings" system for blog entries. For kicks, I rated one of my own entries, but I couldn't find anyway to see/view or access a display of the ratings. Am I missing something? If so, can you help me find it?

Which entry did you try and rate and i'll see if it shows up for me. If not, i'll have a root around and see what to do. :)

No. I see that the entry has been rated, but that's all. When I click on the starts, I'm simply told that the blog "has already been rated".

If you go to the main page of your blog, you should be able to see the ratings of your entries:

Also, when you go to the Blogs Home page and choose the "Best entries" option, instead of "Recent Entries" (which is the Forum default), you can see the entries that have been rated highly.

So how do I delete a blog entry or a blog draft? I've looked and looked, but I couldn't sniff out a way to delete an unwanted entry.

I'm not sure about deleting, but you could edit and leave it blank.

Edit: Actually there's a delete option when you go to edit your blog entries, the edit button is the little pencil at the bottom of your blog entry.

Thanks Pip. I went to the pencil and found the delete option. I clicked "delete" which opened up a connected menu which asked me to select a new option: "delete this message". I did. Then, comicly, it told me that I did not have permission to do that to my account. ??

Here's the issue: I have these drafts of unpublished entries that totally suck and I just want to keep them from cluttering up my options.

thanks Niamah. Yes. I selected "physically remove message" and submitted it. Then, I got this:
