I'm wirting my MA thesis on the rebellion in the 60s, some music maybe, art, not sure yet. If any of you folks knows a book worth reading on this subject, I would appreciate any recommendation. I would be especially interested in the psychology of the rebellion. If you know any of that staff, post it plz!

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. Written in the sixties, about the sixties counterculture, and the major theme of it is rebellion. I recommend that book for your thesis, it pretty much encapsulates the whole '60's rebellion.

jack kerouc's on the road and thomas pynchon's vineland. though neither were published in the 60's, the former heralds its arrival while the latter looks back on it not without nostalgia.
Try American Pastoral by Philip Roth

ragna: You might wish to look at other authorities on the issue. I cannot recall a name for you, unfortunately, but Temple University had a lecture series, some years ago, on the myth of radicalism in the 60's. They must have a record of it somewhere, if you contact the Phila. campus. Good luck, as you might want some data as well as literature to examine.
