Hi, I'm not sure this is the best place to ask this question but anyway, let's try. I cannot remember how it is called when a character in a story applies his emotions and state of mind to the setting. You know, when a character who is sad sees everything around a sad way. I learnt this last year but it won't come back to my mind and I would need it for an essay. I think it's in two words. Can anyone help me? Thanks. :)

Pathetic fallacy - and it's not only used when the character is melancholy.
