She stepped out of her house into the fog, not believing that this was her town. During the day, sometimes during the night, the town was bailing with life and noise. But now it was quite and laid still. Oh, how thick the fog was! The house across wasn't visible. The lamp light carried itself in the fog, making the world yellow. She ran down the street, not even caring that she had only a blanket wrapped around her night gown. There was no wind so the fog barley moved. Her fathers black figure stood in the light and he called her name. She turned around; taking a deep breath in, the dampness filled her lungs. Her town was nowhere to be seen now that the fog circled her.
