So yesterday in my study period I was reading my copy of Falukner's Sanctuary (because I finished Breakfast of champions  ) and I got to the bottom of the 24th page and naturally read the last word:the. So i continued to the top of what I thought was page 25 but the word was AND. So as you all know the,and and dont work right after eachother in a sentence (except for ^). I thought that I must have accidentally flipped a few pages ahead so I looked down at the page number it was 57, and I had not flipped ahead. My copy of Sanctuary is missing 33 pages. Needless to say I was pissed.

Anything like this ever happen to you?

I once checked out a book and someone had ripped out various random pages and stuck them back in out of place in other random areas. This was about 20 pages scattered throughout the book. Needless to say it was rather annoying.

Calvino writes about just your predicament in "If On A Winter's Night A Traveller".

I purchased these classic books published by Rohan, an Indian publishing company. Their price are cheaper, but I found many gramatical errors in the books. Like it's suppose to be "then" instead of "than", "and" instead of "an"...:(
