My name is tony and I’m 25
I’m here to tell you a story
to help you survive.
You see nothing in life is guaranteed.
Some get what they want
and others get what they need.
All these thoughts keep running through my head.
As I lay by the clock
waiting to be pronounced dead.
Listen close to how it all began.
And maybe your life won’t painfully end.
I saw her in the chair, just sipping a drink.
We happened to make eye contact, so I decided to a wink.
I approached her from the left
with this corny *** line,
“Girl you’re like a parking ticket cause all I see is “FINE”
She smiled it off
and carried on without a worry,
And that’s just the beginning of this crazy story.
Things lead on, and soon we were talking.
One drink lead to the next
then to my car we were walking.
“Take me to your place,” she said with such impatience.
I was so damn excited;
I didn’t see the doom I was facing.
Once we were on my bed things really got hot,
I was in the mist of love making
so I just couldn’t stop.
But through it all I forgot one thing,
My condom, my hat, is what I forgot to bring.
No worries my friends, I brushed it off without a care.
But that was the one situation that got me here.
I was at work when I got the call,
“Tony, someone is here to see you
She is right down the hall.”
“Tony, I got a call from my doctor the other day.”
So Surprised to see her, I didn’t know what to say.
“why the Doctor, is everything ok?"
“No... Tony you need to come with me right away.”
I will never forget that look on her face.
It will forever be an image my mind won’t erase.
The next thing she said, will haunt he till my last day.
“Tony, the doctor called
And he told me that I have AIDS.”
“AIDS, what the hell did you just say?”
“Tony you need to go get tested right away.”
“You crazy ***** you ended my Life!”
I was so mad I wanted to cut her with a knife.
“Look Tony, you can be angry, but you need to go now,
for this is a serious matter and I need to know how.”
On the way to the doctor I was surly hurttn,
Because I could have sworn before I hit
she said, “Tony, I’m a Virgin.”
“Tony Wilson! Tony Wilson! the doctor will see you in room 4.”
“Good evening Tony, can you please close the door.”
“Doc, what is it, am I going to die?”
“Tony you have AIDS, and a guess for how many years
probably Five.”
That was the begining of my fate, and now I am here.
Waiting by this hospital clock riddled with fear.
I don’t ever think I will make it through this alright.
But remember, ladies and gentlemen
it only took one night.
