A demon disguised as an angel
Unable to be
What others would like to see
And how many times
Did he think inside his mind
All the thoughts that others may already think in kind
How many times did he try to change his life
To be different than he is
Too many times for one life to live
And if he cries, is it from his imaginary heart
When he lies, does he know where it ends and starts
Can he stop the ambivalence of his heart

My imaginary heart
Transparent ghostly gray
Intangible dreams
Worlds unaccustomed to display

No heart beats
No blood, nor color red
Just thoughts and memories

Memories and thoughts filed away
Down the staircase of cabinets and shelves

My heart of today and yesterday

When two people fall out of love
Do they equal nothing?
Is the one they gave away
The one they once were together
Now gone forever?
Must they start all over again
To become somebody again
To give to another?
Is this the mathmatics of the human heart
