Hey guys, kinda new here. I'd like to ask a question of I may:
I read a short story a while ago, I can't remember the title, but I can remember the basic plot -- it's about a future dystopia in which cities (in particular London) are raised on steel towers to escape rising sea levels. Surrounding the cities are overcrowded 'refugee camps' made up of boats and barges of people from flooded places, trying to get into the cities. The main character lives in one such boat (I think), and the main event of the story (at least, the only event I can remember) is him/her exploring 'under' the city -- between the metal towers -- and finding the top of a hill not yet completely covered by water. On top of the hill there is an abandoned building (a church I think) inhabited by feral children.
After this point I can't remember any more, maybe because it ends there, or maybe because I stopped reading. I've put in as much as I can remember, I really hope somebody else has read it as I really enjoyed it and would very much like to read it again.
