New York. hmmm I have only been there once so cannot really say. Either Central Park or pick some out of the way restaurant. New York is a big city. You obviously should have some places you enjoy going to after work to wind down. For a unique visit don't show her everything which everyone else goes to see such as the Statue of Liberty show her the New York which people in New York see. Just make sure she knows that pick pockets can be quick and you have to keep you eyes open in big cities without keeping them too wide. :-) enjoy your visit. you could even take her to a coffee shop females like that and you could talk.

The lines for the Statue of Liberty are ungodly long and waste too much time waiting through. Unless she really wants to, I'm going to pass on that. I was thinking a Staten Island ferry ride that passes by the Statue. And perhaps a walk through Broadway and Central Park.

I wasn't thinking of going out at night, but if I were I would take her to a blues club in Greenwich Village.

Remember to visit the main branch of the NYC Public Library on 42d Street. It is an awesome building.

I'm a huge Ramone's fan and was incredibly disappointed when I was too young to get into CGBG's...

Central Park is a must-see, classic NYC image, in my opinion.

Well, I'll hopefully be meeting with Subby in a few hours. I say hopefully because we've never actually spoken. She left a message on my phone and we have traded emails where we have agreed to meet at one o'clock at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. She does not have a contact number and I had wished she had called. But lets hope it all works out. :)

Well, we (my wife and I) just came back and we met up with Subby and her friend from Denmark and we had an outstanding afternoon. We met at the Hard Rock cafe, had lunch, walked down to the Empire State Building, went up the the observation deck, spent a good deal of time taking pictures from the top of NY, took a subway downtown, went to Little Italy and had coffee and desert, and walked around downtown. Subby is so nice. We had a great time. Pictures to follow.

Well, I don't think you'd find many Asian chick with orange backpack on her back in Times Square :D. That's why I didn't worry too much.

Been there and yap, it's awesome. Too bad I couldn't get in to the rare book/manuscripts section because it's for members only :(.

Wow, you were fast :D. I just arrived at the inn from my writing class, very good one hour workshop (plus it's free:thumbs_up).

Thank you so much for spending the afternoon with me and my friend. Great weather and obviously, great companies ;). Yap, we had great times doing those stuffs, plus I got a short lecture about Italian pastries, the life of a marriage couple (ha ha ha..just kidding :D, you two are lovely couple!). It's so unfortunate that I won't have the chance to see the blues club at the village (I'd love to go!!)

I had so much fun and hope to meet you two again someday :D

P.S.: Virg, the pictures must be pre-approved by me before you post them :D:D

Hahaha, of course I'll let you pre-apporve them. I'll have to email them to you first. ;) Glad your writing class went well. I'm surprised you got on so quickly. I had a wonderful time. :)

And if I were to guess you look 24.

Ahhhh, now I know what you're talking about. I'm now watching 'rock docs' in VH1 . It was once a famous club at the Blecker street. I was in that street several times in attempt of catching up celebs without their make up.

I can't spell. How does one mispell Subby? :p

Subby (Subterrainian).

I have huge issue with spelling too
