Ok, I keep all my books upstairs, and now all the paperback ones are starting to warp. I think its cause of the humidity changing. I moved them all downstairs, where no books have gotten warped yet. Will keeping them downstairs work? Thanx in advance.

no, if its the air itself that won't change anything, what you need is a dehumidifier, not sure if you can get them... thats all i can think of...

I mean warped as in yes, bent and twisted in weird ways. But its only happened to a few, and the ones downstairs werent affected. No, they werent on shelves some were in a pile in random places like on a desk or something. But the ones on the shelf started warping.

Anyway thanx, Ill see if I have a dehumidifier.

I always wrapped (not warped ;)) my books with micca (sp?) plastics before I read them. The plastic really helped to prevent the damage on the book's cover. And I find wrapping book as a quiete enjoying activity :D.
Plus you also need to put that anti-fungus thingy in your book shelves

I guess you could find some wherever they're selling stationery, if I got what Sub meant, it's a plastip wrap... though I'm not too sure about that solution. If the air in your basement is humid, it's more likelly not going to help you much, have a book which cover is almost perfect but the pages are ... wavy. Maybe wrapping all the books into the platic wrap could work... as in put them in a box and wrap them into the plastic wrapping? Well, if you're not using those books anyway.

Yes you can find it in the stationery section in the bookstore. It's kind of plastic, but it's specially made to wrap books. The plastic texture makes it easier for you to wrap the book compare with ordinary plastic..Hope you get my point ;)
And about the anti-fungus thingy..well i always put this small balls (which smells extreme), i dont know what it's called in English, but it prevents fungus and bookworms when you keep your books in a closed shelves.

Well I hate killing animals as well, but they're eating my books...I mean I have no problem if they're eating something else.
