I´ll be gone for awhile.

I will be checking the forums now and then , but I will not be able to write. Going through some surgery, and I am not allowed to type so much. Wish me luck, and remember - big sister is watching you.

Alright, I will appropriate this old adieu thread to post that once in a great while I will return for forum club discussions, contingent upon economic stress not doing too much harm to my mood. This is either an indication of how far a near midlist author has fallen, or my conscience wrestling with my mild fascism, if my blog battle with twitter is to be believed, not that I've generated a huge controversy, only advocates of a certain cast have told me I'm deranged.

No doubt I may one day reach that condition, but until then, I will retract my claws as far as this forum is concerned, and of course you're all thrilled--but this community is the closest thing I have to a friend, so, it won't be often, because I need to work more than post, but I'll participate when I am on an even keel now and again. With what I cannot say, but shall make the attempt to remain kind. I ordered some beer last night and it relaxed my nerves.

Well, I lost my post because of my neighbor's aide who I peel away when she has the time, but perhaps I should leave it lost, except to add that at least Nicholas Kristof does me the honor of paying attention to the contentions embedded in my tweets; there are reasons for this :)
