You seem to have got it more or less sussed out, mukta!
Listen, watch, read, discuss, think, communicate your ideas to others and go through the whole process again in light of their reactions.
And keep doing it - all your life. Never think you actually know anything: something or someone will come along with a new perspective and add to your store of knowledge, forcing you to rearrange your previously held notions. Never, ever, put up a 'Closed' sign - make sure your mind is always 'Open for Business' and avoid keeping company with people who have shut up shop, (to extend the metaphor, for which I here-by apologise).
And above all, enjoy this life-long acquisition of knowledge - it's to be found in some unlikely and unexpected places.

Ah,that is inevitably well said Kasie.Apart from that,I would like to add in more details.
Knowledge is gotten from the alteration of life.Read whatever books you can manage,so on ad infinitum. The bulk of the knowledge is gotten from the eclectic of books, and the portion of it is from teachers and acquaintances.

Mukta, you got me think over it a bit. All I said about learning things is to awaken ourselves to everything in nature and society. Everything is an open book and only if we have an eye we can see.
All we need to be is a witness on to things in nature and society and we can see all things and phenomena as teachers.
Nurture a habit of observing things differently and everything and everyone can turn out to be a good teacher to you.

For books are not mere words and sentences and meanings are not just found in textual materials, they can be found in our eyes, in our smiles and tears, in our patterns of behaviors.
When you fall in love you just do not speak in letters and words, and you speak in symbols that are easily comprehensible to your beloved.
It is oftentimes called implicit.
What could be a better than a complete life? All that you need is just observation. A keen observation and everything will be opened to you, vistas of mysteries will be opened to you.
All that is necessary is just and eye.

Knowledge is great when shared.
I guess to know is to get involved in all sorts of situations not just books.
Discussions of things are often a good source of knowledge because whilst we are not always ready to question each other about anything we are able to buy book and read it.
Learning is a rounded flair that requires the how to approach something or someone and without realising it get something out of it which is knowledge. A eureka moment is knowledge.
As oppose having something already and wanting found more from it can be tricky because whilst I can talk the it does not.
So I would say knowledge is a two or three dimensional activity which involves lots of words thinking out loud inner thinking and communicating. Sometimes I see something and it makes realise something else. That is knowledge acquired from the outside environment.

Knowledge is a very good topic to share views, so I have a question or two on this topic; 1)is knowledge different than wisdom? 2) Can we learn from more than knowledge derived from the 6 senses?

Knowledge is very different from wisdom. If you have a lot of knowledge, all it means is that you know about lots of things, whereas wisdom is when you are actually clever. You could have lots of knowledge but not be wise, and you could be very wise but have no knowledge (although if you are wise then you will probably be wise enough to realize you should have knowledge).

It's not that simple. May your cons stay away from your fusions.

With our tentacles thrown in the air, Mukta, we are always learning things every day. I discard most of what my mind grasps since it simply becomes onerous. Knowledge without their use becomes burdensome. We need wisdom, intelligence. Nature teaches us wisdom if we turn to it with open-mindedness and inquisitiveness. We humans cynically keep on heaping facts *upon facts and arrive at nothing at the end of the day other than at the pool of stress * **
