Hello, I have (like many people posting here) have an english essay that I am having some difficulty with on Othello.
The question is:

'Othello works best when productions relate the text to the concerns of the audience'

What features of Othello do you find have a particular appeal to a contemporary Australian audience?

You may refer to stage versions, visual texts, transformations and film versions of the play in your answer

The criteria states that I actually must refer to other texts despite the use of the word may in that last sentence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have looked at some of the threads on here but I am still having trouble. The text I am planning on comparing to is Orson Well's version but I have not actually seen it so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance, I have to do the task tomorrow. I'm not asking for people to write this thing for me, I'm merely asking for a few suggestions that I can talk about and expand on.
