Crying for the darkness of the soul:
For the pits of despair set alight with the flames of Hell.
Emptiness! Loneliness!
Oh what pains seers the very heart of their souls!
Such hopelessness and grief: deep yawning chasms-
Gaping their endless canyons of cruel spiteful hollowness.
So dark, so hopeless;
A slow smothering hand that grips,
Casting their very beings into the miry marshes of inner death.
Light! Relief! Their very spirits scream out for help!
Their cries fall dull upon deaf ears;
Our selfish eyes are blind; our hands are tied by the bonds of self possession.
Their voices echo into misty vacuums;
Dark veils draw tightly around them;
They are so lost; they want only to be found:
To glimpse but the faintest light of hope.
Waiting…waiting…waiting…
For the pits of despair set alight with the flames of Hell.
Emptiness! Loneliness!
Oh what pains seers the very heart of their souls!
Such hopelessness and grief: deep yawning chasms-
Gaping their endless canyons of cruel spiteful hollowness.
So dark, so hopeless;
A slow smothering hand that grips,
Casting their very beings into the miry marshes of inner death.
Light! Relief! Their very spirits scream out for help!
Their cries fall dull upon deaf ears;
Our selfish eyes are blind; our hands are tied by the bonds of self possession.
Their voices echo into misty vacuums;
Dark veils draw tightly around them;
They are so lost; they want only to be found:
To glimpse but the faintest light of hope.
Waiting…waiting…waiting…
