Apparently Aunt Shecky is so busy doing important stuff that we aren't going to have a quizzz this week. Well, I have become addicted to her quizzzes, so I made up one on the spur of the moment.
It isn't as good as hers, and anyone who takes it will wish mightily for Aunt Shecky's speedy return to the quizzz venue.
1. In Dickens’s Great Expectations, whose name was spelled the same way both forwards and backwards? And how I wish that someone would come up with a word for that phenomenon.
Hint: It wasn’t Miss Havisham.
2. In Dickens’s The Old Curiosity Shop, who was the heroine, whose name was NOT spelled the same way forwards and backwards? Hint: It wasn’t Miss Havisham.
3. In Cooper’s The Last of the Mohicans, who was the last of the Mohicans? Hint: It wasn’t Miss Havisham.
