This is something I wrote about a year or two ago, hope you like it and feel free to praise or criticize:

Time effaced all epitaphs
Unforeseen was the aftermath
Summer melted a winter’s frost
Scars buried a holocaust

Nothing but vengeance is sought
Amidst all the havoc that is wrought
His heart holds nothing but rancour
And resentment starts to anchor

The rubble of yesterday had begun to moulder
And the soil beneath starts to smoulder
Life slowly burns to ash
And once again hopes and dreams are dashed

History had long crumbled to dust
Taking its place again was human lust
Darkness waits to surround
This place - soon to be an empty ground.

"Unforeseen was the aftermath"
absolutely genius.

This is really interesting. In fact this is what I believe in. Time evens out everything and we are simply sparks that are aflame momentarily or something like lightnings, they surge out of the blue and vanish in a while.

I many a time wonder I am here and life goes on infinitely and we are simply flickers or glimmers.

I got moved immensely, and as this poem spoke of the things that were strikingly engaging me for long.
