has anyone ever read the book "Out of the Silent Planet" by C.S. Lewis??

Yes, when I read it I was "Meh, Tolkien was filling Lewis head with his upcoming Rings creatures" because they look like a Lord of Ring science fiction. Not bad, good intentions, etc.
Side note, It is said that book is the book that Borges was waiting and run down the stairs to receive when he had his famous accident. (This story is a bit mythological.)
